Brecon Village is a 33-unit Memory Support Residence in Saline, Michigan. We took advantage of the large site on an existing campus to arrange the building into three distinct households of 11 units each. Each household includes its own living, dining, and kitchen area, and also features a three-season porch which extends into a intensively landscaped sensory garden. The building also includes an Adult Day Care center, which provides activities for senior family members with memory challenges.
I was a member of the design team, and headed up the planning and design development of the exterior and interior spaces. I also led the documentation process, delivering a complete set of contract documents for construction.
